Chris Gayle, the tall West Indian batsman, played the most brutal knock in the history of the shortest format of cricket ,the T-20. Gayle hit an astonishing 175 not out off 66 balls with 17 sixes and 13 fours against Pune warriors India. He smashed the fastest century off just 30 balls in any format of cricket, eclipsing Andrew Symonds’ 34 ball effort. Gayle also surpassed the highest individual T-20 score of 158 made by Brendon McCullum. He smashed the most number of sixes (17) in an innings. All the bowlers were taken to task by him. His unbeaten knock helped the Royal challengers Bangalore defeat Pune Warriors India by 130 runs in the end.
