IPL Live Telecast: YouTube partners with Times Internet

In an outstanding move, Times Internet shook hands with YouTube for the second time to bring the
joy of IPL to the world, live on YouTube. All 76 matches in the IPL can be viewed on YouTube’s Live IPL Channel and can also be viewed along with your friends on Google+ Hangouts. Cricket superstars like Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and many others could also give interviews and chat live in the Hangouts. Match Highlights of each match will be posted as soon as they are over. “We have renewed our association on the basis of the strengths and success of the last two years of partnership,” Times Internet chief executive Satyan Gajwani said. “YouTube will continue to be our distribution partner globally, and will going forward also participate in our monetization efforts around IPL, with them taking the lead in India.”
Pepsi Indian Premier League (IPL) starts on 3rd April, 2013 with a faceoff between the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Delhi Daredevils at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Last year winners Kolkata Knight Riders will hope to retain the trophy this time around too. At the same time, the Chennai Super Kings led by Dhoni will look forward to take the crown for a third time.
